Singing Bowls

They are exactly what they sound like.  They are bowls that are made from quartz crystal.  Quartz is a vibrational transmitter that is used as a transmitter in almost all of our modern technologies. Human bodies have an incredibly high-water content, so we are a perfect receptor for vibrational information.  Consider how running your finger around the edge of a crystal glass full of water makes it ring and the water itself shift. Because we are about 65–70% water, we react to the sound of the crystal bowls similarly, as their vibration penetrates into our bodies.

Singing bowls have proven to be incredibly therapeutic for many people whether they are dealing with stress, pain or are just in need of a good emotional release.  Singing bowls are now being used in hospitals, schools, meditation studios, and therapy settings for those exact reasons.  If you are looking for non-medical help with your stress or pain we highly recommend you try a singing bowl class at Ahhhsome Relaxation.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong

Tai Chi originated in China hundreds of years ago. Now it is used as a form of movement and exercise practiced by over 200 million people around the world. It is focused on slow movements to connect the body and mind together. Tai Chi works to connect people with their “qi” or life force. It is sometimes called the “Perfect Exercise” because it can be practiced by all ages. Tai Chi can be used as both forms of exercise and meditation.

Yoga

Gentle Yoga: Gain an increased awareness and appreciation of the body as we move through a gentle flow of yoga sequences designed to improve your strength and flexibility. Learn how to harness your breath with your movement through this moving mediation and how to take calmness with you off the mat and into your daily life.

Meditation: Create a greater sense of awareness, wisdom, introspection, and a deeper sense of relaxation by stepping onto your mat to practice a meditation together. So much of our day is spent just going through mindless motions and not being present to the current moment. We will strive, for at least this time on our mats, to be truly present and to be open to what we can learn from this presence.

Restorative Yoga: With a focus on self-care, this class is great for unwinding from the stresses of life with a blend of supported restorative yoga poses, breath work and meditation. A typical class will focus on 5 or 6 poses with the use of props to completely relax into the poses.
